Story Bridge Climb

This is a really short post to check another item off my bucket list. Basically I climbed the Story Bridge with my Dad when I was in High School. The story of how it came about was something like – It was one of my teenage birthdays – I don’t remember which one exactly – but one of those teenagey ones. Dad was working in the city at the time and was completely stuck on what to get me for my birthday. He saw the bridge on the way to work and, because he knows me so well, knew that a bridge climb would be something I would love.

So I got if for my birthday and a few weeks later Dad and I set off to climb the bridge. I remember it being a really fun day. While the grey jumpsuits you have to wear are not the most flattering of outfits, but the views from the top of the bridge is totally spectacular. You also get a short history lesson on some of the darker side of Brisbane history.

And so, that is the story of how I climbed the bridge. If you are visiting Brisbane I would HIHGLY recommend it. You can do it at a bunch of different times of day, and it gives an amazing view of the Brisbane skyline from a completely unique perspective.
